A spiked homemade hot mulled cider was just what we needed to cap off the week. There is nothing like heating up some store-bought apple cider and adding your own cinnamon sticks, clove, and some orange slices to make the house smell like a comfy fall day. Adding some booze just makes it that much better for the end of a week cocktail.
- 2 oz Bulleit whiskey
- 2 dashes of Angosturahouse angostura bitters
- 1/4 oz homemade ginger syrup
- about 4 oz hot mulled apple cider
- cinnamon stick
- orange slice
- orange oil
Add the bourbon, bitters and ginger syrup to a hot toddy glass, top off with the hot mulled apple cider and stir to combine. Garnish with a cinnamon stick, a slice of orange and finish with a spritz of orange oil.
