We are continuing our experimenting with Boodles Mulberry from Boodles Proper Gin and tonight we used it to make a Mulberry Sour from a Food&Wine recipe article, Mulberry Gin Is Just the Thing For Your Almost-Springtime Drinking.
At first sip it hit me a bit strong on the sour side but mellowed by the second, I think it just caught me off guard. By the time I had finished I was tempted to make another. If it were a bit warmer out I would have loved to take it out back and lounge in the yard sipping on this wonderful concoction.
Ingredients:
- 1 ounce of mulberry gin
- 1 ounce of standard London dry gin
- 1 ounce of fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 an ounce of simple syrup
Instructions:
In a cocktail shaker with ice, combine all ingredients. Shake all that up, then strain into a rocks glass with fresh ice.
