Ain’t nothing but a hound-dog

We had this peach ginger cocktail syrup we wanted to use and decided to take inspiration from one posted by bonappetit called the hound dog cocktail.

Using the Sutter Buttes Peach and Ginger Cocktail Mixer was a great shortcut over making our own peach puree and ginger syrup as in the bonappetit recipe.

Our Peach and Ginger Cocktail Mixer is made with just picked  fresh Fay Elberta Peaches.  We create this flavorful mixer with Fresh Peaches and Ginger  Add spring water, sparkling water or shape up your favorite cocktail.

The resulting cocktail has a nice heat from the ginger with the peach taking a more backseat role and the lemon adding just that hint of freshness and citrus to brighten it up.


  • 1 1/2 oz. bourbon
  • 1 1/2 oz. peach ginger cocktail syrup.
  • 1/2 oz. lemon juice


Put all ingredients in a cocktail shaker. Fill with ice, cover, and shake vigorously until outside of shaker is frosty, about 20 seconds. Strain into a rocks glass filled with a large ice cube.
