Add a little spice when it’s chilly out.

I was looking to try something different this week as decided to go with this Ancho Reyes chile liqueur upon recommendation from my local liquor store, Seaside Wine & Spirits.

When I tried a sip on its own in a glencairn glass with a small ice cube I was presented with a sweet and smoky liqueur with a slight hint raisins along with a bit of chile spice.

With this in mind, I decided it would make a good bourbon and lime cocktail for tonight’s cocktail hour.

Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a rocks glass over a large ice sphere and finish with a spritz of lime oil
