For tonight’s cocktail hour cocktail I decided to get creative and make something new based on the description of a cocktail I saw in the menu the other day at 22 Bowens called The Second Circle.

I’m sure theirs is better but I’m happy with how this came out. I didn’t get to try theirs to compare as I was in for lunch and needed to stick with something of a lower ABV.
- 2 oz redemption whiskey high rye bourbon
- 1/2 oz lemon juice
- 1/2 oz Sandeman porto ruby port
- 1/4 oz maple syrup
Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice, shake and strain into a rocks glass over a large clear ice cube
