I’m calling this a New Yorker in Pink. I was attempting I make a New Yorker Cocktail and ended up reading the grenadine at a Tablespoon where it should have been a teaspoon. I had to post this under #drinkyourmistakes in my Instagram feed. The next day I made a New Yorker as per the actual recipe with a teaspoon of grenadine and it was much crisper and a bit more refreshing. I definitely recommend making it according to the real recipe.
Ingredients:
- 1.5 oz whiskey
- .5 oz simple syrup
- 1 tbsp. grenadine (1 tsp. for a New Yorker, which I’d recommend)
- 1 oz lime juice
Assembly:
Add lime juice, grenadine, sugar syrup and Bourbon into a shaker with ice.
Shake well and then strain into an old fashioned glass over a large ice cube.
